There is news and bad news.
The news is that all of my providers here in south Florida are accepting Secure Horizons without a hitch. This isn't a surprise in this healthcare-savvy part of the country.
The costs seem higher, but I'll wait until the end of the year to review and compare to the alternatives. The major GOTCHA! that caught me by surprise is that after paying a few hundred dollars in deductibles and copays, I noticed that my EOB showed $0 applied to the $1500 maximum out-of-pocket. A phone call later I learned that Secure Horizons has redefined out-of-pocket to NOT include physician visits or tests. I was assured by the repersentative that the voluminous paperwork that I received last fall included this information. I consider this to be misleading advertising and a basis for leaving the plan (if possible) at the end of the year.
